Fun Fact: The first two chapters of Matthew and the first two chapters of Luke are commonly known in academic and theological circles as “The Infancy Narratives.” Ironically, this is despite the fact that they do not deal exclusively with Jesus’ infancy, and they aren’t really narratives. This is nonetheless the common label for these chapters. Additionally, despite the fact that each record in “two chapters” long, the record is Luke is over twice as long at the record in Matthew.
