October 3, 3 BCE: The Great Day of the Feast

October 3, 3 BCE/22 Tishri AM 3759

(34) My covenant I will not break, nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips. (35) Once I have sworn by My holiness; I will not lie to David: (36) His seed shall endure forever, and his throne as the sun before Me; (37) It shall be established forever like the moon, even like the faithful witness in the sky. Selah.

[Psalm 89:34-37 NKJV]

Read Psalm 89 slowly and carefully. It tells us that the moon is a faithful celestial witness of Davidic kingship. What testimony did the moon give to the wise men from the east who came to Jerusalem in search of a Davidic king?

Early on the morning of October 3, 3 BCE, the moon (the faithful witness of Davidic kingship) joined Melek (the king star) and Tzedek (the king planet) in Ari (the royal constellation and lion of Judah). On the Hebrew calendar, it was 22 Tishri, AM 3759, the Great Day of the Feast of Sukkot.

When Melek (king) and Tzedek (righteousness) are combined into a single word, you get Melchizedek, King of Righteousness. On October 3, 3 BCE (22 Tishri AM 3759) the faithful witness of Davidic kingship testified concerning the King of Righteousness, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, on the Great Day of the Feast of Sukkot.
