More About The Chronicles

Cuneiform Text

My vision for God Save the King breaks down into three primary components I call Chronicles.

The Judean Chronicle focuses on Judean perspective, the nation of Judea, and the Judean characters in the nativity story—Elizabeth and Zechariah, Joseph and Mary, the baby Jesus, the shepherds, etc.—and specifically addresses the multitude of misconceptions in the traditional version of the nativity story, most of which are encountered in this context.

The Parthian Chroniclefocuses on the influence and perspective of the Parthian Empire and Parthian characters in the nativity story—primarily the Magi, but also Parthian royalty, as well as a history of the Magi, who they were, what their responsibilities were, etc., and of course—what did they see in the stars? Including how did they know what to look for? Or even to look to the stars at all?

The Roman Chroniclefocuses on the influence and perspective of the Roman Empire and “Roman” characters in and around the nativity story. This will include the international “back story” and will include such notable historical figures as Julius and Augustus Caesar, Mark Antony and Cleopatra, and especially Herod the Great, the Roman appointed King of Judea.

The end result will be an epic tale of ancient international political and religious intrigue culminating in the birth of the King of Kings.

Phase One of God Save the King encompasses writing the essential essays that form The Judean Chronicle via Patreon, as well as producing an eight-part video series to be aired on Parables.TV and Uplift.TV. The video series will be a condensed summary of all three Chronicles, but primarily The Judean Chronicle, with some details from the Parthian and Roman Chroniclesincluded as well.

Additional components of Phase One include editing the essential essays into book form and producing the DVD version of the video series that will include the eight episodes of the TV series plus bonus material.

Phases Two and Three of God Save the King will encompass essentially the same ideas for the other two Chronicles (essays, DVD, etc.). This of course, is subject to change as needed in order to provide the best quality content to my followers and Patrons.

My vision for God Save the Kingalso includes Study Guides, maps, star charts, and other educational materials to be made available to churches, Bible studies, Sunday schools, or frankly, anyone interested in the biblical and historically accurate nativity story.
